Question 1

What is Davinote?

Accepted Answer

Davinote is a booking platform that connects clients with local service businesses. You can discover businesses near you, check their availability and book appointments in real time.

Question 2

Is Davinote free?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Davinote client app is completely free to download and use. You can search businesses, view their profiles, read reviews and make bookings at no cost.

Question 3

Do I need one app or two?

Accepted Answer

Two, and they are different products. Davinote is for booking services. Davinote Partners is for running a business — bookings you receive, your team, your finances. A business account cannot sign in to the client app; it tells you so and links to the right one.

Question 4

Which countries is Davinote available in?

Accepted Answer

Davinote is currently available in the United States, Spain, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Canada, France and Italy.

Question 5

Which languages does Davinote speak?

Accepted Answer

English, Spanish, French and Italian, in both apps. Changing the language restarts the app to apply it, and dates are then written the way that language writes them.

Question 6

How do I make a booking?

Accepted Answer

Pick a business, choose your services, then a day, who serves you and a free time. If you pay by card the booking is confirmed and charged straight away. If you pay cash it is created unconfirmed and waits for the business to accept it — which is normal, not a fault.

Question 7

Why can I not find an available time?

Accepted Answer

The times you are offered come from the business's own opening hours, worked out in their time zone rather than your phone's, and only slots nobody has taken are shown. If a business looks fully booked, try another day or another member of staff.

Question 8

What is the code the business asks me for?

Accepted Answer

A six-digit completion code that appears on your booking once it is confirmed. You give it to the business when they start your service — that is what starts it. It disappears afterwards, because it has been used.

Question 9

Can I cancel my booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, from the booking itself. More than three hours before it starts there is no charge. Inside three hours a cancellation charge applies, and the app shows you the exact amount before you confirm — nothing is taken until you accept it. There is no reschedule: cancel and book the new time.

Question 10

My booking is not in the app any more. Where did it go?

Accepted Answer

The Reservations tab holds only what is still live. Once a booking is completed, cancelled or marked as missed it moves to your history, filed under the month it was booked for, with its receipt attached.

Question 11

Can a business come to me?

Accepted Answer

If it offers an at-home service, yes. The booking then asks you to place a pin on a map and add directions — the apartment number, which buzzer — which reach the business with the reservation rather than buried in a note.

Question 12

Which payment methods are accepted?

Accepted Answer

Cash or card, decided at the checkout. Card is offered wherever the business accepts it; cash is settled with the business. The total is the same either way. There is no option to pay with DaviCoins or with a promotion.

Question 13

Is the total I see the total I pay?

Accepted Answer

Yes, and it never depends on how you pay — card and cash cost the same. It can come out slightly lower: a business can apply a discount on its side that the app cannot preview, so treat the figure on screen as the most you will pay.

Question 14

Can I leave a tip?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at the checkout — a suggested amount or one you type. The suggestions are worked out on the order total and the tip is added on top, so it appears on the booking afterwards as its own line.

Question 15

What are DaviCoins?

Accepted Answer

DaviCoins are what a business gives back to its customers. They are not a way to pay: there is no DaviCoins option at the checkout. You see what you hold with each business, and you request a payout from My referrals in your profile.

Question 16

How do referrals work?

Accepted Answer

Share your code from My referrals. When somebody signs up with it you are told, but the reward only lands when that person completes their first service at the business — and only once per person per business.

Question 17

How do reviews work?

Accepted Answer

You can review a business once you have completed a booking with them. Tap the star in the top bar of their profile, set a rating and write what happened. Reviewing somewhere you have never been is refused, and your own reviews are listed in your profile.

Question 18

How do I become a Davinote Partner?

Accepted Answer

Download the Davinote Partners app, register your business, set up your profile with services and availability, and start taking bookings. It is that simple.

Question 19

What types of business can use Davinote?

Accepted Answer

Davinote supports a wide range of service businesses, including hair salons, barbershops, nail salons, massage therapists, tattoo artists, pet services, personal trainers, photographers and many more.

Question 20

How do I add my staff?

Accepted Answer

You generate an invitation code and send it to them; they register and join with it, and you approve them. There is deliberately no way to search for an existing Davinote user and add them — the one exception is hiring somebody who applied to a job you posted.

Question 21

How do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Card payments collect into your Davinote balance, and you request a withdrawal from the income report. That report stays locked until a payout account exists — in the Dominican Republic that means your bank details — and card is not offered to your clients until then either.

Question 22

Do I have to accept every booking myself?

Accepted Answer

Only the ones that arrive unconfirmed, which is typically the cash ones. If you would rather not, Settings has an auto-confirm switch that accepts new bookings for you — worth thinking about, since it means a booking is taken without you seeing it first.

Question 23

Can I pause my business without deleting it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Vacation mode hides your business from clients and stops new bookings, and switching it off brings you back. It is the same switch in Settings and on the opening hours screen, so either one works.

Question 24

Can I issue fiscal receipts in the Dominican Republic?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Fill in your company information with your RNC, choose NCF or e-CF, and every completed booking issues its receipt. e-CF certification is a process with the DGII that the Davinote team runs with you, so it is not instant — and you can leave issuing switched off until you are ready.

Question 25

I forgot my password.

Accepted Answer

Use the link on the sign-in screen. The email takes you to a page where you set a new one, then you come back to the app and sign in with it. The old password stops working straight away.

Question 26

Can I sign in without typing my password?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with your fingerprint or face if your phone supports it, and there is a keep-me-signed-in option so closing the app does not sign you out.

Question 27

Why does it say my account is suspended?

Accepted Answer

A moderator has suspended it, and the screen shows the reason they gave along with an email address to appeal to. The support chat is not offered there, because it needs a signed-in account.

Question 28

How do I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

The option is at the very bottom of Settings and asks you to confirm before anything happens. It is permanent. If you only want to stop for a while, sign out instead — your bookings and reviews stay as they are.
